thank your for email.
I have fully investigated the handling of your complaint and reading the response you have received from ..., I do not believe this accurately reflects our current position or provides you with clarity about the works we will be delivering here. Therefore I will be upholding your complaint.
To confirm, the repairs carried out were to address those areas which were considered “immediate” safety issues, and therefore met our intervention criteria as set out in ... email. However what we did not address in our response was the fact that these repairs have failed due to existing detoriation of the road surface around these defects.
This is obviously not an acceptable situation, and therefore we will be returning to carry out larger targeted patch repairs to those areas of the road which have failed and detoriated.
I have asked that the Customer Team copied in keep you abreast of how this progresses and confirm when the works have been scheduled.
In the meantime the local highways steward will continue to monitor the road and will address any safety issues as they appear. For further information on our approach to highways maintenance I would encourage you to visit our website www.eastsussexhighways.com where there is wealth of information about the services we provide.
I hope this response alleviates your concerns and answers your outstanding concerns. If still remain dissatisfied with my response this can be escalated to our ESCC corporate complaints team via the following link Customer feedback – Your comments, compliments and complaints | East Sussex County Council
