O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Director: Joel Coen, USA 2000, 107 mins, 12)

Three depression-era escaped convicts led by Everett (George Clooney) lead us through Mississippi in a series of vignettes capturing an eclectic range of American mythological, historical and folkloric themes of the time in this utterly unique comedy with its extraordinary soundtrack. Zany, poignant, a heart-warming tale and a riotous rollick through the 1930s South.

Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8pm start. This is part of a double bill of quirky classic American independent films and will be preceded by Down By Law at 5pm. Come along to both and bring a picnic to enjoy in the village hall between screenings! As always, we will be serving tea, cake and wine.

Tickets are £7.50 (£6.50 concessions) for non-members and £6 for members (£5 conc). There will be a discount if purchasing tickets for both films.
